What the Foundation does
Provide Scholarships
Award scholarships to students within the fire district who are pursuing careers in fire service, public safety, medical, or emergency services.
Recognize New Life
Celebrate new life brought to the members of the Plainfield Fire Protection District and their families.
Memorialize Members
Honor and memorialize members of the fire service and their families who have passed, preserving their legacy and service.

J.D. Eichelberger Public Safety Scholarship
Honoring former Fire Chief John Eichelberger — 40 years of dedicated service
Awarded through the PFPD Foundation in partnership with Plainfield School District 202 Foundation. Recipients are selected based on grades, financial need, and acceptance with proof of full-time enrollment at an accredited institution.
- Must be a resident of the Plainfield Fire Protection District
- Plan to major in fire service, public safety, medical, or emergency services
- Full-time enrollment at a fully accredited state or private university or college
- Selected based on academic record, financial need, and enrollment verification

The PFPD Foundation is funded entirely through donations. Your support helps us provide scholarships, honor our members, and serve the community.
